The Agroverzum Science Center is a visitor center of the Agricultural Research Center of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Martonvásár.
It is an educational center and a scientific playhouse at the same time.
Its main purpose is to raise awareness of agricultural sciences, to understand intelligent and enjoyable science-mediation.
On two levels, 650 square meters of agricultural and scientific interactive permanent exhibition can be seen.
His topics concern the areas of agricultural science that are researched by institutes of the Research Center for Agricultural Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences: scientific basics of soil, plant breeding and plant protection, and veterinary science.
The exhibition focuses on the consequences of climate change on agriculture, eg.
with the appearance of torrents, pests, soil erosion or drought.
It also presents the scientific basics of agricultural sciences.
His message is that the agricultural sciences in the field of agriculture can provide answers to the economic and social challenges caused by climate change.Not only the scientific results, but also the everyday life of the research community, the research processes, the social and economic utilization of the research work are introduced to the visitors.
Besides the presentation of real, tangible objects, the exhibition also uses the possibilities of virtual appearance and multimedia tools.
Thus, the visitor can experience the complexity of work that requires a wide range of biological knowledge, eg.
wheat or corn breeding, pest detection or pathogen detection, while having a tangible benefit to our daily lives.What are the real problems faced by researchers and, in particular, the staff of the Research Center for Agricultural Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences are well represented in the thematic order of the exhibition.
It starts with the problem and presents the scientific work of the ATC institutes of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences dealing with the strategic issue of the effects of climate change on agriculture.The exhibition starts with the relationship between our everyday life and agriculture.
It is not a secret intention to confront us with how much science, how much machine and manual work, how much care you have in the shop behind bread, butter, salad, salami.
There are many units in the exhibition that show us how much we bind to agriculture, and that without research today there is no agriculture, no human life.
